History of the "Palestinians"

David Meir-Levi has an excellent piece at Frontpagemag.com covering the history of the self-proclaimed "palestinians". It is everything I have ever read about the palestinians", summarized into a brief. Here are some snippets:

After he took over as leader of the PLO, [1] Arafat sent his adjutant, Abu Jihad (later the leader of the PLO’s military operations), to North Vietnam to study the strategy and tactics of guerilla warfare. Arafat was struck by Ho Chi Minh’s success with left-wing sympathizers in the United States and Europe. “Progressive” activists on American campuses, enthusiastically following the line of North Vietnamese operatives, had succeeded in reframing the Vietnam War from a Communist conquest of the South into a struggle for national liberation. An insight into this North Vietnamese PR campaign, which provided the key to the Communist victory and a lesson for PLO operatives, was offered by Ho’s chief strategist, General Giap: “Stop talking about annihilating Israel and instead turn your terror war into a struggle for human rights. Then you will have the American people eating out of your hand.”

The term Palestinian, ironically, was used during the British Mandate period (1922-1948) to identify the Jews of British Mandatory Palestine. The Arabs of the area were known as “Arabs”; and their own designation of the region was balad esh-Sham (the province of Damascus). While some Arab nationalist writers, and coffee-shop intellectuals in Cairo or Beirut, developed the concept of Arab nationalism in large part as a response to Zionism, the terms “Palestine” and “Palestinian” were used in their traditional sense as geographic designations, not as national identities.

Article 24 of the PLO’s original founding document, the PLO Covenant, states: “this Organization (the PLO) does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the Gaza Strip or the Himmah area.” For Arafat before the Six-Day War, Palestine was Israel. It was not the West Bank or the Gaza Strip; because the West Bank and the Gaza Strip belonged to other Arab states, and the inhabitants of these areas were not numbered among the Palestinians whose “homeland” Arafat sought to “liberate.” The only "homeland" for the PLO in 1964 was the State of Israel. However, in response to the Six Day War, the PLO revised its Covenant on July 17, 1968, to remove the operative language of Article 24, thereby newly asserting a “Palestinian” claim of sovereignty to the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Take the time to read it. It will be worth your while. To some it may come as no surprise. To others it will hopefully, at the very least, create some questions that will lead to the truth.

A nice dinner had by all

So the big kick off has happened. An agreement was made that Mahmoud Abbas and Ehud Olmert will TRY to come to a peaceful settlement by the end of next year. The keyword being TRY. I'm sure Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Iran, Syria, and numerous other factions will have a say in all of this. This was a waste of time. Mahmoud Abbas will refuse to give up the idea of using East Jerusalem as their so-called capital. President Bush is proving ignorant with his ideology of spreading democracy. It was the world's accepted view of democracy that put Hamas in charge of the "palestinian" government. Democracy, for the ignorant, is more than voting.

Now we get to sit back and watch as more finger pointing and more rockets rain down, and more terrorist attacks occur because the islamists want their idea of democracy. Israel will continue to cede land and refrain from action as Abbas loses more and more control of the "palestinian" people. Hamas will continue to terrorize those who disagree with their approach. Hamas will continue to take funding from anyone in order to maintain their reign of terror. The US, Israel, and others will continue to verbally separate these people from Abbas while Abbas continues to live on borrowed time. At some point Khalid Mashaal will have had enough and will have the approval of his handlers to end Abbas' reign.

This little shindig in Annapolis will prove to be worse than Oslo and Camp David. Israeli's will continue to die and live in fear of the "newly formed democratic palestinian" nation. Then again, what do I know? I am just an average everyday right wing hardliner looking for any reason to go to war. At least this is what my own President would call me. I believe this conference is a waste therefore I am against peace. That's what I heard today. It's nice being labelled by a guy who makes deals and shakes hands with terrorists. Mr. President, I would rather be me than you. I don't have the luxury of ignoring reality. I am faced with the results and consequences of history and my own actions daily.

As long as politicians live in their fantasy world, the rest of us will be living in nightmares far worse than the ravages of war.

Hey Assad! Shut Up!!!

"Any peace initiative that does not include the Syrian Golan Heights is not serious and will not achieve a comprehensive, just peace in the region," said Syrian President Bashar Assad to Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa in a meeting between the two on Wednesday. This according to a report by the Syrian Arab New Agency (SANA).

Otherwise, give us what we want or the "palestinians" will be commanded to deny any deal. What his country lost by losing a war he wants to get back by being the cry baby loser he is. Assad is the equivalent of the tantrum throwing kid in a store whose mother gives him a toy instead of a swift kick in the rear.

This little statement ensures that there will be no true agreement reached. This is not the first, nor will it be the last evidence of a failed belief in peace between the islamists and the Israelis. The more the western diplomats put there heads into fantasy books the more the ogre known as dictatorial islam will forge itself into world control.
Enough already!!!

The Inevitable

Israel is quietly preparing for the possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran despite public pledges to deny its arch-foe the means to pose an "existential threat", political and defense sources said on Thursday.

Why prepare for this if the intention is to keep it from happening? Hinting at taking out nuclear capability is not the same is actually meaning to do it. It doesn't appear that Ehud Olmert is willing, nor is he capable, of doing the most important facet of his position; PROTECTING ISRAEL.

Cabinet Minister Ami Ayalon refused to discuss classified policy-making but said Israel should pursue a three-pronged strategy on Iran: "First, we must make clear that this is a threat not just to Israel , but to the wider world. Second, we must exhaustively consider all preventive options. And third, we must anticipate the possibility of those options not working."

So lets go to the world, who has done such a great job of protecting Israel, and convince them of the obvious. A nuclear Iran is not what the world needs. These words, supported by actions, have not awaken the world yet. Secondly, if we don't get permission from the "world" we must act like we mean business. Lastly, we must make friends with the Ayatollah so he doesn't blast our little nation off the map like he wants to.

Yeah this sounds like a great idea. Why not just deny G-d now, start praying to allah, and get the women used to burka's and beatings.

Way to go Olmert.

Ehud Olmert's Misplaced Trust

I recommend reading this piece from the Jerusalem Post. It is very good.

Hamas versus Fatah

At some point in the not so distant future, Hamas and Fatah will be at each other again. Not verbally, but violently. For Fatah this doesn't bode well. The Al Aqsa brigade will not be fighting in support of Fatah and Mahmoud Abbas. Although they will not sign up with Hamas, they have more in common with Hamas than they now do with Fatah and the "Palestinian Authority".

Hamas wants the West Bank. Hamas wants control of the PA. Hamas wants to be the sole representative to the "palestinian cause". To do so they will resort to the only action they know, violence. This is what Iran and Syria are banking on. The more "palestinians" die, the more propaganda espoused against the Israelis. Somehow "palestinian" on "palestinian" murder is acceptable. Internal to the region Hamas has been able to spin these deaths into Israeli responsibility. Due to the lack of freedom of the press and an inherently close minded society these lies work effectively.

The upcoming conference in Annapolis has already been downplayed and there will be nothing of value coming out of it. Hamas and it's enablers will ensure this. Anyone thinking otherwise is ignorant of both history and the recent. Khalid Mashaal is still in the process of working behind the scenes to place his name on the placards as head of the PA. His recent silence is just a tactic in his overall strategy to replace Mahmoud Abbas. Mashaal is patient and will bide his time as his underlings continue to press the violence. At some point Abbas will be forced to give in. Assuming control from Abbas would provide more credibility for Mashsaal than simply assassinating him.

As long as there is a "palestinian" issue on the table, there will be eyes turned away from the real threats in the region. Hamas, Hisbollah, Al Aqsa, the mujaheddin, and others are mere foot soldiers in this war. They are being used to sacrifice other "palestinians" for the greater cause. This greater cause sits in Tehran and has its tentacles all around the world.

Uri Savir: What the Palestinians Must Do

An op-ed in the Jerusalem post was penned by Uri Savir. The piece, entitled "What the Palestinians Must Do", is naive and ignorant of the real situation. Here are his requirements:

1. The Palestinians must implement the first phase of the road map and uproot violence from their midst. The struggle against terrorism and the terrorist
infrastructure must be relentless and ongoing. This should be done not as a "goodwill" gesture toward Israel, but because it is in the supreme interest of the Palestinians.

This is presently, and for the foreseeable future, unattainable. Hamas, Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigade, and other groups within "palestinian territories" would have to do this voluntarily because Fatah lacks the power to do so. In order for the violence to possible subside, there would have to be a major internal war. Unfortunately, Hamas and others would be financed and armed by Iran and Syria as well as receive support from Hizbollah.

2. The Palestinians rightly insist that the borders of a new Palestinian state should be based on the 1949 armistice lines. However, they should also agree to mutual modifications in order to have Israel retain several settlement blocs in its own territory.

Whether Abbas were to accept this or not doesn't matter. Hamas wouldn't. Neither would the other islamists in the region.

3. Palestinians should have the right of return to their own nation state - Palestine. Some would receive compensation and others would be resettled under various refugee programs in a number countries. Israel might permit, in the course of future talks, some refugees to settle on its territory. But the Palestinian leadership must finally tell its people that adhering to the right of return as an ideology would torpedo any hopes for a negotiated settlement with Israel.

This is a pipe dream at best. Who would compensate the people? It wasn't Israel that chased them all out. The islamists in the region are more than happy putting forth money for arms and homicide bombers. However, paying for resettlement is admission of defeat and they have yet to come to terms with this.

4. Jerusalem. The Palestinians will justifiably insist on a capital in the Arab-populated neighborhoods of Jerusalem, yet they should agree to postpone the final details of the future of the holy sites to permanent status negotiations.

Justifiable how? This is a deal killer before it begins.

5. Only by working together via open borders can we witness an improvement of the existing economic conditions for Palestinians, and of economic growth that would benefit both peoples. Yet for there to be a free flow of people, Israelis must feel certain that their lives will not again be placed in jeopardy by terrorism.

So continue to let the 'palestinians" be a leach. When a person is beholden to another, at some point the frustration and pride kick in. It's time for the "palestinians" to step up and take care of themselves legitimately.

6. Security cooperation must be renewed. Israel will not tolerate terror against any Israelis. And terrorism is also a threat on the authority of the Palestinian leadership.

What security cooperation?

These are ideas that probably could have worked 50 years ago but because of the hatred towards the Zionist state they never had a chance of being tabled. It is too late for this.

What's the most inane idea in his list?:

Israel must make painful concessions, and so must the Palestinian side. Israel must strengthen Abu Mazen, and Abu Mazen must strengthen himself and his party. It will be a challenge. But I genuinely believe that both Abu Mazen and Olmert understand the importance of this opportunity, and I hope - for the sake of both our peoples - that our leaders will act accordingly.

Abu Mazen cannot be strenghtened. This must come from him and "his people". They have failed miserably to this point. "It will be a challenge" is one of the more understated comments I have read in quite some time.
It would appear that Uri Savir is a romantic optimist. Tragically, there is too much at risk to put it all on whims and fantasy.

Compromise

According to Webster's, the first definition of the word compromise is:

settlement of differences by arbitration or by consent reached by mutual concessions

What mutual concessions can be reached between the Israeli's and the "palestinians"? The "palestinians" have nothing to offer of value nor do they have anything worth giving up. Israel, on the other hand, has much to give up. This translates to something for nothing.

In order for a so-called peace agreement to be reached, Israel would have to actually practice the second definition of compromise in order to attain a faux peace:

a concession to something derogatory or prejudicial

Ehud Olmert seems more than willing to do this. So does Shimon Peres and apparently Ehud Barak. Israel, get ready to lose.

Before it's too late

If Iran is ever going to be attacked for it's nuclear ambitions and complete human rights violations it should be now. The more the Iranian politicians spew forth their" we can't be defeated" propaganda the more obvious it becomes that this is for Iran's enablers benefit.

Iran's Foreign Ministry warned Israel on Sunday it would retaliate against any military attack and accused Israelis of trying to damage relations between Teheran and the United Nations' nuclear watchdog.

If the relations are damaged it has to do with Iran's unwillingness to be forthright. Israel has no say in whether an Iranian politician lies or not.

Hosseini warned Israel not to consider military action. "In case it does, it will be faced with unprecedented response from Iran," Hosseini said, without elaborating.

Of course their will be no elaboration. He has nothing to elaborate on. It's all empty rhetoric. I have claimed that Iran is doing nothing more than what Saddam Hussein did prior to his country's invasion. It's all talk. Sadly, because of mis-intelligence involving Iraq, Iran is getting even more time. The longer we wait the more likely Iran will actually have a response to an invasion or attack.

Israel is for Jews

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat on Monday rejected Israel's demand that the Palestinians acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state.

"There is no country in the world where religious and national identities are intertwined," Erekat told Radio Palestine.

What world does this lunatic live in? Iran, Syria, Indonesia, Somalia, and soon to be Iraq, are all countries who have religion intertwined with national identities. They are also all Islamic. Islam is designed to work this way. In fact, the existing "palestinian" identity is based on islam and not nationalism.

If this is the type of moron the "palestinians" are sending to represent them then this conference won't last a day. I take that back. It will last as long as it can because these guys will be eating and drinking like kings and sleeping comfortably while those they were sent to represent will be living in fear as usual.

Hey Olmert! Quit releasing prisoners. How many more "palestinian" terrorists are going to be free to roam the streets and kill Israelis?!

In response to the prime minister's announcement, opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu said that the government was "giving everything" and in exchange was "getting terrorists."

After a meeting with Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, Netanyahu said: "The Olmert government is repeating the mistakes made by the Barak government at Camp David. Then, they gave everything but all they got in return were terrorists and suicide bombers. Now, the government of Olmert, Barak and Livni is behaving in the same way."

At least he gets it.

In other news Monday, dozens of prominent Palestinian residents of Jerusalem published an appeal to the Abbas, asking him not to make concessions to Israel over the holy city in upcoming negotiations.

The ad, signed by 108 prominent Jerusalemites, including top Christian and Muslim leaders, did not make specific demands. However, the signatories asked Abbas not to negotiate a deal that would "violate our national rights."

Just what "national rights" are they talking about? This is another reason the conference is doomed before it begins. So far I have not read anything that lead me to believe the "palestinians" are willing to do anything. Everything I have read up until this point has Israel ceding quite a bit and the "palestinians" being told to reign in terrorists. This is something they have failed to do for over a decade. It appears that Israel is to give and the "palestinians" are to take. This is worse than a sham, this is suicide.

Also according to the poll, 52.9% believe the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be solved if Jerusalem becomes a Muslim city while 26% believe east Jerusalem should be the capital of Palestine and west Jerusalem the capital of Israel.

Ten percent said they thought the city should be the joint capital of both nations and 7.4% said the capital should be under international control.

If Jerusalem becomes a muslim city, Israel will revolt against it's government and the city will be under siege until the Israelis take it all back by force. There is nothing the "international community" can do about this. If the mohammedans think they should have exclusive rights over the holiest Jewish site, they are sadly mistaken. The reason these idiots believe that the conflict would be solved by mohammedans taking over Jerusalem is because they believe they control the continuation of the conflict. They believe that Israel doesn't want to fight anymore. Therefore based on Israel's past appeasement, giving Jerusalem to the mohammedans supposedly eliminates the reason mohammedans are fighting in the first place. This is all poppycock of course, but that doesn't matter to them or the "world community". All the politicians want is for the fighting to stop and they don't care about the outcome or how it is achieved. That is, unless the Israeli's were to attempt to end it with overwhelming force.

Enough of the games and worthless speeches. Either take Jerusalem back or give up Israel's right to sovereignty.

Call the bluff

Saddam dared the world twice and lost. Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Bashir ASsad have also claimed that any attacks would be beaten back. Hizbollah claimed victory after they dared Israel to invade and then hid behind civilians. This is the enemy we presently face. Hamas is claiming that they will have "terrible surprises" for Israel if it invades Gaza:

Many terrible surprises await the IDF should the Israel launch a wide-scale operation in the Gaza Strip, a spokesperson for Hamas's military wing warned on Saturday.

It's time to call their bluff. If the IDF goes into Gaza it needs to be in full force and with the ultimate mission, decimate the "palestinians". Anything short of this and Israel will be faced with the same results as what happened in Lebanon. The terrorists preach their hatred and spew their screed and then hide among civilians. Thus making any attack a "violation" of so-called rules of war. Seeing as the west has a hard time facing the fact that the enemy is using it's own rules against it, these rules need to be dumped. The only rule in war is WIN!
Quit playing games with these murderous thugs. Make them face the consequences of their actions. How moronic are the people?:

Abbas, the paper said, will state that an Israeli incursion would destroy the Gaza Strip and its infrastructure.

What infrastucture are we talking about here? The Hamas run terror infrastucture? Israel needs to route the enemy and set up it's own infrastructure. These people need to be forced into the 21st century. CUt off al power, fuel, and money and invade. Take the land back. Israel has no need to apologize for defeating these people in the past and they have no requirement to seek permission to take it back. Israel has tried to be nice to no avail. When a cancer can't be controlled it needs to be cut out. the "palestinians" are a cancer on everyone. Do the world a favor. Get rid of these people.

Get to fighting or pray towards mecca

Physicians for Human Rights petitioned the High Court on Thursday, demanding it order the State to allow the transfer of 11 patients from Gaza to Israeli and Jordanian hospitals for treatment.

Send them to Jordan. Why should Israel be held responsible for the health and well being of people who wish to destroy it? This makes no sense at all. As I have said before, maybe if the "palestinians" came to realize that there are consequences for their actions they would change their actions.

"The Israeli authorities are not only breaking international law by preventing patients from receiving treatment in Israel, they are using the population in Gaza in the most cynical way."

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS INTERNATIONAL LAW!!! Secondly, how is it cynical to want your enemy weakened? These accusations are nothing more than modern day, relativistic, mamby-pamby, poppycock coming from a bunch of "internationalists".

In an interview with the Arab-Israeli paper Sawt el-Balad published Thursday, Kassem said that the Shiite organization's weapons arsenal can hit all parts of Israel. He described the maneuvers as "enormous and important and they were carried out as part of our deployment so that we won't be caught by surprise.

Just what nation does Hizbollah represent? This is more proof that the Lebanese government has been stifled. There are now two governments and two nations within the borders of Lebanon.

The Israel Air Force and the IDF often encounter the problem of targeting terrorists operating from within civilian population in crowded Gaza neighborhoods or schoolyards.

Welcome to the islamic mode of battle. They hide amongst civilians. This is known. These are the same civilians that put Hamas in charge of the government. THEY ARE NOT INNOCENT. What would you have a government do? If they do nothing they get castigated. If they respond and "innocents" are hurt or killed they get castigated. Who brought about the entire situation? The islamists. They don't allow for any westerners to be considered innocent so why should we give them a pass? It's about time this war was fought as a real war. One nation against another. The winner is the one that kills the most of the enemy and beats it into submission.

The State must what?!?!

The High Court of Justice instructed the state on Wednesday to provide the data on which it has based its assertion that power cuts to the Gaza Strip would not cause unreasonable damage to Gaza residents. The data must be presented within a week, the court ruled.

Are you kidding me?! The enemy is considered more important than Israelis? The wants and needs of those who would wipe Israel off the map takes priority over war planning to defend Israel? What kind of bizzarro world are we living in?!? "I'm sorry Mr. Hitler but I have to bother you with this proposition? I plan on fire bombing Dresden but I want to make sure that it isn't going to hurt you too much." This is exactly why the wars of the last 50 years have not been won and have continued. To win a war it must be impressed upon the enemy that they are not only not going to win but if they continue they will be wiped from the planet. Anything short of this is modern mamby-pamby, feel good politics.

Following the state's response, the petitioners against the proposed power cuts - the Gisha - the Legal Center for Freedom of Movement and various human rights organizations - will be given an additional week to respond to the state's position.

The court stated that until that time, the state is to take no action in the matter.

Never mind the rockets that continue to rain down. Never mind that Iran is now claiming to have 3000 working nuclear centrifuges. Never mind that Syria is doing everything it can to prevent the Annapolis conference from even being held. Never mind that Mahmoud Abbas is going to Annapolis to have a good meal and a full nights sleep. Let more lives be at risk until the court decides what is good foreign and military policy. It's ok to sacrifice a few more Jews in the name of compassionate jurisprudence (please note the sarcasm).

This action along with the actions of western diplomats and fascists around the world is inane. It's no longer borderline suicidal it is pure murder.

These people disgust me!

What does he mean by Un-Jewish?

Meretz Chairman Yossi Beilin:

"Former prime minister
Ariel Sharon's biggest mistake was to allow Hamas participation in the Palestinian elections. We must arrive - via indirect means - at a cease-fire agreement with Hamas," he said. "They approached us, but we weren't interested."

"Cutting off electricity and water is an inhuman and un-Jewish act," he added.

So let me get this straight. First off, Ariel Sharon should not have allowed Hamas to participate in "palestinian" elections. Disregard the fact that these elections actually showed the ignorance of the "palestinian" people. Had Sharon claimed that Hamas could not participate, the very numbskulls that are saying he should've done something would have screamed to no end about the unfairness that Sharon was displaying.

The elections were a good thing. They let every Israeli, and friend of Israel, no where the "palestinians" truly stand in regards to their relationship with Israel. The fact that the socialist/communist/fascists of the world don't like being brought out into the sunlight is proof of the effectiveness of the election. Since the election they have tried to explain away all of the truth and replace it with red herrings and bogus suppositions. Here's an easy one for you, THE "PALESTINIANS" HATE THE ISRAELIS AND WISH TO DESTROY ISRAEL AND TAKE IT"S LAND!!!

Now someone please explain to me what an Un-Jewish act is. Maybe I have been out of it for awhile but since when is feeding, financing, and providing power to the enemy something a nation should do in it's defense? The "palestinians" have made their choice. It is now time they pay the consequences. Let them run out of gas and blame Israel. Let them have no power for their hospitals and blame Israel. Let them run out of water and blame Israel. Maybe some knuckleheaded "palestinian" will realize how important Israel is to them and decide that the Hamas, and other terrorist's, approach is idiotic. Maybe some knuckleheaded "palestinian" will realize how ignorant and stupid his own people are and try to make a real difference for the better.

To my point, the Un-Jewish comment. Is it a Jewish act to cower and allow oneself to be killed instead of fight? Is it a Jewish act to be suicidal? Here's a clue. There won't be any future Jewish acts at all if Israel, a Jewish nation, does not fight and defeat it's enemies. The Old Testament is full of stories of the Jewish acts of battle and warfare. Those Jews defended what was theirs and fought for what G-d had promised them. Since when have we let the cowards define what a Jewish act is? If you don't want to obtain and defend what G-d has promised you then move to France and live off the government. If you believe that G-d has promised you this land and a prosperous future, then fight for it with every ounce of blood and down to your last breath.
